Return Policy for Online Purchases


Wireless Phone Exchanges:


Cingular Wireless offers a wide range of wireless phone models from the leading manufacturers. Although your new wireless phone is one of the most popular models available today, occasionally our customers determine that a different wireless phone suits their preference. Exchanges can be made within the first 15 days of purchase when accompanied by the proof of purchase. Your local Cingular Wireless retail store can assist in the event you determine that a different phone better suits your calling needs. Please ensure you take all components and paperwork with you to the Cingular Wireless retail store. This will greatly decrease the amount of time necessary to process your return. Please ensure you take all components and paperwork with you when you visit the Cingular Wireless retail store to speed process time.

Defective Wireless Phone Equipment:


Wireless phone equipment is designed to be rugged and dependable. But like all electronic equipment, sometimes a defect does occur. In the event your new wireless phone fails to function properly, Cingular Wireless can assist you as follows:

Your local Cingular Wireless retail store can assist in an exchange or repair. Or call the Cingular Wireless Service Center at 1-800-507-9213 for assistance and instructions.

Returns:


Wireless Phone Equipment: If you are not satisfied with the purchase of your wireless phone or accessories, you may return it to Cingular Wireless and receive a full refund for the amount you paid if the phone/accessories are in like new condition; and in original packaging (including all components and paperwork).

Returns must be mailed, along with proof of purchase, within fifteen (15) days of your receipt. You will be responsible for return shipping charges. It is highly recommended that returns be made via a shipping method with tracking capabilities and ability to provide delivery receipt/confirmation.

Refilling your account

Prepaid Service allows you to pay in advance for your airtime. The cost of every call you make or receive will be deducted from your account in full-minute increments. The deduction may be delayed if we experience a system interruption or other downtime.

When your account balance is depleted or running low, simply purchase a Prepaid Card and follow the instructions on the back of the card. Prepaid Cards are available in various denominations.

Prepaid Cards are non refundable unless returned unused with all packaging to the original place of purchase within 7 days of the purchase date. Refund policy may vary depending on place of purchase.

Any funds added to your account are subject to an expiration date. This includes funds added using a Prepaid Card, credit/debit card or direct cash payment. Any credit remaining in your account after the expiration date is forfeited unless you refill your account within the 14-day period following that date. Unless you refill it, your normal service will be suspended during this 14-day period, and you will only be allowed to place calls to refill your account, to contact Customer Service and for 911 emergency calls.

If you refill your account within the 14-day period, your account will automatically be reestablished and any previously unused credit restored. If you do not refill your account within 14 days, your service will be discontinued and your wireless number will be reassigned. To reestablish service, you need to purchase a new Starter Card and call Customer Service to activate a new prepaid account.
